This classic "upside-down" beach house places the main living room and kitchen on the upper level, alongside three bedrooms and two bathrooms, complemented by a screened-in porch. The house boasts a spacious deck adorned with a grill, dining table, and magnolia trees, creating the perfect spot for outdoor gatherings. Downstairs, a second living room, another bedroom, and a bathroom offer a private retreat. Embracing pets, "Driftwood" welcomes furry family members, and being just 2nd row to the beach, a mere 2-minute stroll leads to the sandy shoreline. Without a private pool, this rental includes a Harbour Town pool pass for your rental. There is parking at the pool. Welcome to Driftwood, a truly unique and pet-friendly short-term rental nestled in the heart of Sea Pines, Hilton Head. Situated on a double lot and surrounded by a picturesque landscape of palm trees, magnolia trees, and oak trees, this exceptional property, which has been in the owner's family since 1979, is now being shared with renters for the very first time. Undergoing a substantial renovation in 2022, the current owners masterfully preserved the vintage 70's style of the house while incorporating modern amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Boasting two driveways and a spacious carport, Driftwood provides ample parking space. The carport also houses a convenient laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer, making it the perfect drop-off point for beach gear. Pass by large pieces of driftwood as you enter through the distinctive red front door, leading you to the downstairs game room. This cozy space features a smart TV, couches, a foosball table, board games, a table, and a refrigerator—ideal for unwinding and socializing. An adjacent bedroom downstairs offers a queen bed and an attached full bathroom.

Venture upstairs to discover the open living area, where a smart TV, plenty of seating, and a dining room for eight, complemented by three additional bar stools at the kitchen island, create a welcoming atmosphere. The open kitchen boasts updated quartz countertops, blending the vintage 70's style with modern furnishings. A screened-in porch off the dining room provides a charming space with a large picnic table, while a sliding door leads to the expansive wrap-around deck, complete with a grill, outdoor table, and Adirondack chairs—perfect for relaxation beneath the magnificent magnolia trees.

Follow the hallway off the living room to find three more bedrooms. The first bedroom features two twin beds, followed by another with a queen bed. These two bedrooms share a fully renovated hallway bathroom. Continuing down the hall on the right, you'll discover the primary bedroom with a king bed and an attached private bathroom featuring a shower/bathtub combination.

Situated just 2nd row to the beach, Driftwood offers a mere 2-minute walk to the ocean. Additionally, a 0.3-mile stroll takes you to South Beach Marina for shops, dining, and entertainment. While the house doesn't have a private pool, a Harbour Town pool pass is included.

Where is Driftwood located?

Driftwood is located in a neighborhood called Sea Pines. Sea Pines is a 5,000 acre community located in Hilton Head Island. The neighborhood encompasses private communities, a forest preserve, horse stables (3.5 miles away), PGA Tour golf course, beautiful sandy beaches (2 minute walk away), two marinas and many shops and dining. Amongst the most well known areas are Harbour Town Marina (3.5 miles away) with the lighthouse and South Beach Marina (0.3 miles away) with the infamous Salty Dog Cafe. Sea Pines is a gated community with a gate fee (1 complimentary pass is included in your stay and more can be purchased through us directly) so those staying in the neighborhood have all the wonders of Sea Pines right in front of them. There's no need to even leave Sea Pines while on vacation!

How do you get around while on vacation?

Bicycles are a popular mode of transportation in Hilton Head. Once you rent through Beachside HHI, you can rent bicycles directly from us and have them delivered to Driftwood upon arrival. Be sure to look up the Sea Pines trolley schedule for your trip. The trolley runs during the peak season and is free to access.

Note: This home is located in a private, gated community.  Gate passes are required for entrance.  Reservations include 1 complimentary gate pass, but additional passes can be purchased directly through us. Sea Pines does restrict the number of vehicles/gate passes per property. Parking is available for 5 vehicles at Driftwood.

Note: The first pet is subject to a pet fee of $50 per night (up to $350 max), plus tax. You may bring an additional pet for $15 per night (up to $100 max), plus tax.  More than two pets may be accepted on a case-by-case basis; please contact us before booking.

Note: Harbor Town Pool pass is included with this rental for 2024 rentals, as the South Beach Pool is closed.
